At SYA Black Empowerment Network, I served as one of the primary graphic designers and content creators, leading visual strategy across digital platforms. My work spanned social media campaigns, print collateral, video editing, motion graphics, and a complete redesign of the website and logo.
Establishing Brand Consistency
Inheriting a visual identity without formal brand guidelines, I initially established design consistency by adapting existing assets. Recognizing an opportunity to better express the network's mission, I ultimately developed a modern brand refresh closely aligned with the organization's long-term vision.

Website Landing Page Redesign
The objective for the website redesign was immediate visual clarity. I created a clean user interface that communicates the organization's core values at first glance, while structuring complex community resources for easy navigation. To accommodate the network’s elderly community members, I prioritized accessibility standards trying to implement higher contrast color palettes, legible typography, and responsive layouts optimized across mobile, tablet, and desktop screens.
Logo Refresh: Community-First Identity
I felt the original logo lacked the warmth of a community-driven non-profit. In the redesign, I focused on core themes of empowerment, unity, and inclusivity. I retained key color anchors from the original logo to preserve brand recognition, but adjusted the tones toward a softer, more inviting palette that balances modern professionalism with an approachable feel.
